Ivo Ferreira
Ivo is graduated in Administration (PUC-RJ) and worked producing concerts and events for 20 years. He started his studies in artistic pottery in 1995 with Taciana Amorim, in Rio de Janeiro. Since 2000, already living in Rio's highland, he attended Flávia Santoro and Lydia Sebastiany's studios. He did a lot of workshops with great names of pottery. He studied terra sigillata in Spain, with Miguel Molet.

In 2011, in a partnership with Lydia Sebastiany, he began his researches about clay and natural pigments, extracted from local mountains, to use in terra sigillata and primitive firings.
In 2012, with other artists, he founded the group Arte Cerâmica em Petrópolis. Over the last few years, he attended conferences in Rio, Petrópolis and Cunha(SP).
He arranged and produced two editions of "Circuito das Artes de Itaipava", and now idealizes and produces with Marcia Limmanii the "Feira Cerâmica de Petrópolis", since 2017.
He runs wheel classes and Raku and primitive firings workshops at Casa Lliure, studio and space of arts created with Lydia Sebastiany, at Petrópolis' historical center.
Ivo also travels through various ways of expression: photography, music and pottery. Sometimes, all of them at once.
